The Love Keys

On Saturday, November 20, The Love Keys played at the Healing Castle in Schochwitz, Germany.  The duo, hailing from Germany, is made up of Ben and Aleah, who formed the group during a band rehearsal in 2009.  Aleah is a very talented singer and guitar-player with a gift for writing music, and Ben is also talented with the guitar and likes to write his own music.  Ben has had a very strong interest in heavy metal, and has been able to use the technical virtuosity he developed in that genre for The Love Keys, which plays spiritual mantras using the keyboard and guitar as their primary instruments.

Aleah has a very lovely, melodic voice, perfectly suited for singing mantras.  She sings with passion and feeling, which comes across in the form of energy which reaches and transforms the audience.  Ben, by contrast, sings along in a barotone voice to complement Aleah.  During this performance Ben played the keyboard, producing sounds which gave a spiritual energy to the room.

During this performance, which incorporated mantras from Sanskrit, I felt very relaxed and reached a deep level of meditation.  Others in the room were also meditating throughout the performance.  The experience was so profound that the very next day I was still in what is termed an "alpha," or meditative, state.

The Love Keys greatly surpassed my expectations for the night, and I hope to hear about them again in the future!

The Dalai Lama Blesses the Healing Castle

The Dalai Lama has blessed the Healing Castle.

He has urged, and continues to urge, that we act with compassion and understanding so that we treat the Earth and each other better.  With compassion and understanding come right motivation and right action.  We need to educate ourselves about the consequences of our behaviors to the planet and human societies.  We need to stop acting selfishly and for short-term gain.  With selfishness comes a lack of consideration for others, which brings about unnecessary pain and suffering.  Just as we can behave selfishly to others, we can behave selfishly to the Earth, of which we are inseparably linked.

At the Healing Castle we believe in protecting and preserving the Earth.  We practice recycling and promote a vegetarian diet.  We reuse materials as much as we can to prevent waste.  We also invite people from all over the world to experience the energy and vibrance of our castle, in order to promote cooperation and a spirit of community.

Welcome to the Healing Castle

The Healing Castle Schochwitz is a spiritual and meditation center located at a hidden and mysterious place right on a line of high energy (ley line). When it was built almost 1000 years ago our ancestors must have been aware of their connection to heaven and earth and of forces that many contemporary fellows wouldn't acknowledge. We (Ingrid and Jim) rediscovered this place and want to meet people here with love and respect, to help them find themselves and rediscover their own natural (self-)healing-powers. Miracles work by allowing them to happen!

Since we bought the castle 5 years ago its transformation into a Healing Castle could not have happened without that trust and allowing for the process to happen.  We never lost the intent to make this place dance and be a shining light of energy and love. We think we achieved a lot already, and you are welcome to visit us in Schochwitz, Germany, or on our website or blog. We will write frequently about projects, seminars and other occasions. We will appreciate anyone, who relates to us, especially in terms of active cooperation in any form, because without that sense of support for each other, this project would definitely fail. But as the times are changing once again, we are quite confident that we will connect with likeminded people and have a great time.
